The goal for the Jumpstart Guide is to help you get started with your WordPress site.

You must Pay to have a WordPress site. To use this guide you must have created a Psychotherapy-Network account and paid to have a WordPress Site. As a member you can DIY or take advantage of the JumpStart promotional special by using the Jumpstart Request Form.

This activities use the WordPress Dahsboard.

  1. When you are ready to publish your WordPress site review this post: Site Activation
  2. Customize your site Title and Tagline
  3. Update Site Intro
  4. Delete the “Hello World” sample post by going to >Dashboard>Posts>All Posts>
  5. Adding Your Photo Widget
  6. To use a Custom Header Image
    • Images of exactly 1000 × 150 pixels will be used as-is. It is a good idea to compress it to save loading time. For performace, be sure to limit image to no more that 72dpi. You might try using to resize your image it to 1000px x 150px. Then try out this site to optimize it. Just right click on the one you like and save the picture to your PC.
    • Go to >Dashboard>Appearence>Header> to upload a custom header image to be shown at the top of your site instead of the default one.
